Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I set up an effective campaign and what keywords should I use?
Our studies have shown that 2-3 keyword phrases, in combination with a specific ad message, will bring about the most effective results. It is very important to keep a strong connection between the keywords you are using, the message on your ads, and the items you are promoting.

adMarketplace Keywords also offers a Keyword Suggestion Tool that automatically generates keywords for you when you create your ad. This is an automatic process and the keyword suggestions are based on the most popularly searched keywords as well as the items or page that you have chosen to link your ad to. You may choose to either keep these suggestions or delete them before and after you set up your ad.

2. How long does it take for my Ad to go Live?
The ad approval process is continuous throughout the day. Ads may take up to 24 hours after they are approved to go live. You will know when your ad has been approved when the status changes in your ad detail page from "Pending Approval" to "Waiting to go Live".
3. If a keyword is marked "Waiting to Go Live" do I need to take any action to activate                        the word and make it "Live?"
No. When your keywords are waiting to go live, it is waiting to be booked in our ad serving system. At this point, there is no action required by the user. This process usually takes up to 24 hours to complete.
4. How can I avoid session expirations during setup?

AMP Keywords uses cookies to move users from non-secure to secure pages. If a cookie cannot be set, as a security precaution, a user's session is ended and the user is returned to the login page where a session expiration message is displayed.

To avoid this happening please make sure your browser is enabled to receive Third Party Cookies.

For Internet Explorer 6 and 7:
At the top of your browser on the Task Bar:

1. Choose Tools
2. Then choose Internet Options
3. Click the Privacy tab
4. Set your setting to Medium security, which will allow you to accept cookies.
5. Click the Advanced button and make sure 'First- Party Cookies' and 'Third-Party Cookies' are accepted. Also check the "Always allow session cookies" box and click the 'OK' button).

For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Choose Tools
2. Then choose Options
3. Click on 'Privacy' from the top navigation bar
4. Choose the 'Cookies' tab
5. Check the box 'Allow site to set Cookies'
6. Click 'OK'

In addition to setting your browser to accept cookies, please make sure you are not running any applications that might restrict cookies from being set. These applications include firewalls, ad blockers, pop-up blockers and security systems like Norton Internet Security and Zone Alarm. These applications should be disabled during setup if you are seeing session expirations.

Also AMP Keywords expires your session after half an hour of inactivity. Therefore, if you leave your account unattended for over half an hour, you will see 'Session Expired'.

If you have followed these steps and are still seeing session expirations please log a case with customer support by clicking on the 'contact us' link on the homepage.

5. How do I edit the keywords in my Ads?
You can edit keywords from an Ad at any time. To edit your keyword list, go to your Campaign Summary page and click on the name of the Campaign that your Ad falls under. Next, click on the Ad you want to edit. This will bring you to the Ad Details page where you can make all necessary changes to your keywords.

To delete keywords, simply select the keywords that you would like to delete and click the Delete button. The deleted keywords will be immediately removed from your targeting criteria for that Ad.

To add keywords, simply click on the 'Add Keywords' link to add your desired keywords separated by commas. Submit and allow up to 24 hours for these keywords to be approved and to go live.

Similarly, to add a category, simply click on the 'Add Category' link to add your desired category ids separated by commas. Submit and allow up to 24 hours for these categories to be approved and to go live

6. Why are my keywords marked low performance?
Keywords are subject to random performance reviews that evaluate their performance based on a criterion of clicks versus impressions. Keywords marked "low performance" should be seen as deleted keywords since they are no longer being served. You will need to re-add them using the "add keywords" link in your ad detail page if you wish to continue using them. Changes should be made to these keywords to promote better results for your ad campaign.
7. How do I redeem promotional funds?
Sign into your account, and go to your Campaign Summary page. Select the campaign you wish to apply the promotional funds to then click "Add Funds" button which is located above your campaign name. On the following page, enter the promotional code that applies to you in the field provided and click the "Submit" button. Do not forget to re-activate your ad if currently paused.
